Tuesday is traditionally a relaxing day at the ICPC, and this year was no exception. After an event-filled day yesterday and the contest slated to take place bright and early tomorrow, today was filled with a contest dress rehearsal (allowing the students to solve practice problems and get acclimated to their work stations) and some rest and relaxation by the pool or a trip to the center of Marrakech for some sightseeing. As much as I’d like to post pictures of everyone lounging poolside or experiencing one of the world’s great cities, instead let’s focus on something a little more productive: how to follow the contest from home.
A quick aside – if you followed the contest from home last year, not much has changed for this year.
To watch a live-stream of the contest, simply logon to ICPCLive.com. The broadcast will feature live analysis and last for the duration of the contest. Coverage begins at 10:00 a.m. local time in Marrakech (that’s 5:00 a.m. in New York) and will last until 4:30 p.m. Afterwards, stay for the World Finals Highlights and Closing Ceremony, where the champion will be crowned.
If merely watching the contest isn’t enough for you, you can engage with fans from around the world at myicpc.icpcnews.com. With MyICPC, users can learn about their favorite teams, create a personalized scoreboard, participate in games, explore the events and World Finals venues, view up-to the minute social media buzz and more! The mobile app works with a variety of tablets and smart phones, so you can stay connected from anywhere. Everyone is encouraged to comment and engage!
The contest will have a significant presence on social media, so be sure to follow along via Twitter @ICPCNews and @BrainBattleICPC. ICPCNews will also be active on Facebook and Instagram. Be sure to use #ICPC2015 to become part of the conversation.
Tomorrow is the big day. Rest well!
