St. Petersburg State University won a thrilling ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC) World Finals, solving seven problems to win the contest on home soil in Ekaterinburg, Russia! The squad defeated Moscow State University, which also solved seven problems but took more time to do so.
Rounding out the medals, Peking University came in third and National Taiwan University took fourth.
New York University won the North American Championship, solving four problems to finish just out of the medals.
