The Understanding the Solaris 10 Directory Hierarchy (WS-2000-S10) course provides students with information about / (root) subdirectories and file components. The course explains how to use hard links, basic disk architecture, and naming conventions for devices; and how to list devices, partition and repartition a disk, manage disk labels, and reconfigure devices. The course describes the Solaris(TM) Management Console and the Solaris(TM) Operating System (Solaris OS) directory hierarchy.
