In this course you will examine the merger of voice and data communications into a single multi-protocol infrastructure referred to as telephony, voice over IP, or VoIP. Objectives: After completing this course you will be able to describe VoIP equipment and be comfortable with telephony terms. You will be able to discuss analog and digital telephony and how VoIP affects the line between telecommunications companies and other businesses. You will be able to use the OSI and TCP/IP layered models to simplify the implementation of VoIP networks. You will also be able to configure Cisco 2600 and 3600 series routers for VoIP and implement basic VoIP features in a Cisco network. (duration: 855)
