Somewhere along the line, Sophie Zhang got cast as whistleblower No. 2 in the Facebook drama, but the former Facebook data scientist alleged back in April, before Frances Haugen, that the company was turning a blind eye to international election interference in a series of Guardian articles. And those interviews came more than six months after a version of her now-infamous goodbye memo was leaked to and published by BuzzFeed News.

In an interview, Zhang talks about renewed interest in her story, her famous good-bye letter, things she would've done differently, comparisons with whistleblower Frances Haugen, and more.
