The Three Acid Tests of Persuasive Writing

In today's interconnected world, communication with the general public is no longer an option for scientists; it is a requirement. Unfortunately, many scientists write poorly. So when you sit down at the keyboard, how can you be certain that your readers will understand what you are saying? These three quasi-objective criteria or "acid tests" may do the trick.
